Bjala - Property Development - BRAND DEVEOPMENT AND MANAGMENT

Bjala is an inner city property development company that focuses on creating high quality mixed use accommodation offering for residents in lower income brackets. Bjala sees the city’s urban fabric as a relationship between the built environments: “Urban-Hardware” being the bricks and mortar, but its people and their interaction with the environment as “Urban-Software”. The illustration that forms the basis of the brand insignia was developed from a map based on the street map where Bjala’s first building project was developed, adding the tree element as a symbol of growth and connectivity. The identity was completed in collaboration with artist Lorenzo Nassimbeni.

heART  is also currently involved in developing identities for the smaller projects initiated to include and uplift the community living in the area. Sky farms – an urban farming project and Street Light Schools – which started as a after school crèche and it slowly transforming into a subsidized learning facility for children within Bjala’s developed buildings.
